Inside the Bearcats Podcast: 6.11.13 -- Tommy G

We catch up with Senior Director of New Media and Broadcasting Tom Gelehrter fresh off his vacation. Although, we could just call this the breaking news podcast as we unveil seven pieces of breaking information. Some that are even relevant!

Outside of that we discuss our favorite moments of the year that was in UC athletics, the state of the baseball program under new coach Ty Neal and more football fodder.

Plus, Tommy rejects an in-house call while on air, we talk about the socially acceptable places for adult men to go shirtless and wax poetic about the absence of our normal podcast artist Shane Harrison.

Sidenote, sorry about a small bit of technical details with Tommy's mic, for a few small portions it goes in and out, but don't bail on the pod when you hear it, the sound soon after comes back clear. Plus, you should be focusing on me anyway. #SarcasmFont

Inside the Bearcats Podcast: 5.16.13 -- Enquirer reporter Bill Koch

Enquirer reporter Bill Koch joins me on the podcast this week. If you haven't read Bill's five-part series on the state of UC athletics, stop and do so now. It's required reading for any Bearcats fan at this point.

Bill joins as we talk about what he discovered chatting with nearly every figure involved in creating the past, present and future of UC athletics. We also delve into the optimism, frustration and general awkwardness that comes with maneuvering through such a difficult landscape as that which evolved over the last few years.

Of course, the conversation tangents to cookies, golden quote nuggets and spurned girlfriends, but was as informative as any podcast you will hear anywhere in covering the state of the program.

Thanks again to Bill for joining. You, of course, can read his regular reporting on UC athletics here at Cincinnati.com, follow him on Twitter here @bkoch or hit up his blog at this link

PDJ_marchmadness.jpg
With such a big stage as the NCAA Tournament, it's only fair to bring the biggest Inside The Bearcats Podcast of the season -- by far. Tommy G and I anchor the podas I bring in Voice of the Bearcats Dan Hoard, NBC Sports Senior Writer for College Basketball Talk Rob Dauster and hear from assistant coach Darren Savino.

We all discuss this weekend's trip to play Creighton in Philadelphia plus all the other topics surrounding UC and the Big Dance.

As with any special episode, there needs to be special artwork thanks to Video Shane Harrison. Thanks, Shane. Really made this look prestigious.

Inside the Bearcats Podcast: 3.11.13 -- Mo Egger; BET primer

Mo Egger joins the Podcast.

ESPN1530 Host Mo Egger joins me again this time as we take a look at the Big East Tournament, the Bearcats chances to make a run, what it means for their NCAA Tournament status and how the tournament helped legitimize the reincarnation of UC basketball.

Of course, we also spend the first 15 minutes discussing which of the 16 conference tournaments we would most like to attend and least like to attend this week which requires openly debating the pros and cons of Missoula, Mont. Plus, Mo takes a phone call, discusses the unhealthy disdain for Gerry McNamara.

As always, make sure you are reading Mo's blog here and listening to him from 3-6 p.m. this week on ESPN1530. You can also catch him on the weekends on national ESPN radio.
